About Me

I've been creating art my entire life, but started seriously pursuing it after getting into my first regional show at age fifteen. Following this I was fortunate enough to win a national scholastic silver metal in photography at age seventeen. I have since graduated with a BFA from the University of Michigan, where I focused on oil painting and  experimental light painting.

In the past few years, my work has started becoming overwhelmingly blue, both by means of color and content. Thematically, my work is an attempt to refresh how artists communicate themes of sadness and memory.  I hope this specific melancholia can lead viewers to challenge the memories they have held on to, as the narrative we write in our most treasured memories is so easily distorted.
